Causes of cancer are multifactorial. However, lifestyle factors such as physical inactivity are considered to be one of the known modifiable risk factors associated with the development and reoccurrence of many cancers. In Australia, 1 in 3 men and 1 in 4 women will be directly affected by cancer before the age of 75. Most common types of cancers include: melanoma, prostate, colorectal, breast and lung cancer. Physical activity reduces the risk of cancer recurrence and death by 50% when compared to individuals who are sedentary.

Our Exercises Physiologists will identify and prescribe an exercise program specific to your cancer diagnoses, surgery, treatment and medication.

Individual disability programs are also available for those with physical, mental and acquired disabilities.
