Move for Men's Health

This comprehensive program is specifically designed for men with a current or history of prostate cancer or mental health issues. In the sessions you will perform strength, cardiovascular, balance and bone-loading exercises (based on your individualised exercise program).

Living with Diabetes

Are you living with type 1, type 1 or gestational diabetes? Discover how to best manage your condition and blood glucose levels through exercise and lifestyle.

  • Perform your individualised exercise program with supervision and assistance from our Accredited Exercise Physiologists
  • Learning about diabetes management including exercise, nutrition, preventing and treating hypoglycaemia, and foot and eye care

Session times: 2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays

Cardiac & Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

This rehabilitation program is ideal for the effective management of heart disease, lung cancer, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and for individuals returning home after heart surgery or a heart attack

Perform your individual exercise plan with assistance and supervision from our Exercise Physiologists. To ensure safety, we will regularly test your blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation.

Session times: 12pm Tuesdays & Thursdays

High Needs Group

Suited to individuals with balance issues, frailty, memory concerns or those who require mobility aids. Our instructor-led group ensures your safety while ensuring you gain the maximum benefit from exercise. In each session you will complete a range of seated and standing exercises, using machines and equipment (where appropriate).

Session times: 12pm and 1pm – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Muscling Up

This program focuses on progressive resistance training as a tool for re-enabling older adults to improve their strength, with an aim to reduce risks of falls and improve quality of life. Based on the research project “Muscling Up Against Disability”, conducted by the University of Queensland. 

Session times: 8am and 10am Tuesdays | 8am, 9am and 10am Thursdays

How to get started

Initial Assessment

New clients are required to undergo an assessment with one of our Exercise Physiologists, prior to commencing a clinical group. The assessment involves discussing your medical history and current health status, as well as undertaking a variety of modified fitness tests.

This information is used to formulate an individualised exercise program, to improve general health and wellness. Each program is tailored to specific conditions and/or injuries, with a focus on reaching personal goals.
