Pre-assessment is required.
New Healthy Connections clients are required to undergo an assessment with one of our Exercise Physiologists prior to commencing programs/sessions. The consultation involves discussing the client’s medical history and current health status, as well as undertaking a variety of modified fitness tests.
This information is used to formulate an individualised exercise program, to improve general health and wellness. Exercise programs are constructed around the central components of fitness; cardiovascular health, strength, functionality, balance, and flexibility. Each program is tailored to specific conditions and/or injuries, with a focus on reaching personal goals.
Our qualified Exercise Physiologists (EPs) are always on-hand to supervise sessions and offer assistance. EP’s strongly emphasise correct techniques to ensure maximum exercise benefits and reduce the risk of injuries.
Our clients are provided with ongoing care and individual exercise programs, which are continually adjusted and to maximise their time and progress at the Healthy Connections clinic. This service is also applicable to members who opt for a home-based program, or a specialised program, targeting a specific need (such as weight management, event preparation or overseas travel).
